The Liminal Institute was founded to help empower the public through education about the benefits of the e-commerce revolution. The Institute's scope has since grown to include original research, publishing and educational projects.
Our mandate is to help manage the impact of the 21st century's "Liminal Moment", the time when technology-intermediated communication supersedes traditional forms of organization, commerce, and interaction to become the dominant force in modern culture.
This transition is potentially perilous, both for individuals left out or alienated by the technology revolution, and for those of us who are lulled into complacency by an increasing dependence on software and systems to the detriment of human interaction.
| The Liminal Institute specializes in researching and documenting the trends and benefits of the increasing entrepreneurial productivity brought by the Internet's e-business revolution.
We do this with the hope of effecting positive change through publication of original research, education of the general public on e-commerce related issues, and advocacy of technology enterprises and entrepreneurs worldwide. |
